Here Are Some Quotes

  • I attended the show at Riverside Church (beautiful venue by the way). The show was great! The artists/vendors gave us some truly unique works of art to drool over! Thank you for bringing such a great show to the New York area!

  • Again, it is always a joy to celebrate the image of ourselves through dolls. We are truly "Let''s Go Green" artists and collectors. Every material that you could think of was created into a doll of some type. Thank you again to the staff of the International Black Doll and Gift Show for believing in our doll artists. Dolls represent history and this is one form of expressing our history to others.

About Us

It feels great to know that we help to facilitate a smile, a hug and self-identity. But more importantly, we want the public and the world to meet the artisans, expert crafters, manufacturers and specialty retailers who enrich and sustain the tradition, the fantasy, the identity that is the black doll. It is our mission to establish these types of shows and events as the black doll marketplace for many years, decades and centuries to come.

About Us

What are our memories of attending our first black doll show? Well, we walked through the exhibitor aisles like wide-eyed children at an amusement park, each turn rewarding us with innovation, craftsmanship and pride. Yet as we concluded our circuitous tour, disbelief and anger began to bubble-up in our chest. “Has this been here for years, decades or even centuries?” “How is it that we are only now finding out about this?” “How is it that most of the public remains completely unaware of these treasures?” “Something must be done!”
